Greetings fellow Gamers,
If you are based in or around Southern California, the pleasure of your company is hereby requested at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Fullerton Anaheim Conference Center on Saturday September 28th & Sunday September 29th, 2024. If you're a GM who plans to run a game on Saturday morning and want to set up your beautiful table the night before, you are welcome to show up on the night of Friday, September 27th, when the volunteer Convention staff will be at the venue preparing for things to kick off the next morning.
The Hotel hosting this con is 3.5 miles away from Disney Land, and is relatively close to many other high-profile Southern California destinations, from the Beach to Hollywood.
Here's a handy link to the convention page over on the Tabletop.Events site, where you can pre-register to run games and/or to buy badges or tickets and reserve spots to play in games:
https://tabletop.events/conventions/hmgs-psw-mini-wars-2024I apologize for the relatively short window of time between now and the Convention, and wish I'd been able to post this thread sooner, but better late than never. There are still a little more than 2 months between now and Mini-Wars 2024, and I sincerely hope that will be enough time for many of you to find time in your schedule to show up. If you're a miniatures gamer of any kind -- Historical, Fantasy, Sci-Fi -- and live in Southern California or plan to be in the Los Angeles/Orange County area that weekend, I very much hope to see you there!
The Convention Director was able to negotiate a very reasonable room rate at the venue for HMGS-PSW members of $116 USD per night, so you may want to consider staying over one or two nights instead of commuting. Roll out of bed and down to the convention floor. There's a convenient link to the hotel website on the Tabletop.Events page I linked to above.
Ask anyone who has attended over the years: this con is always a blast, complete with some fantastic tables, awesome looking armies, exciting games, and -- most important of all -- a good supply of camaraderie and fun, as seen in these pics from Mini-Wars past…
