Suggestion for scenery use for these….
« on: 19 June 2024, 02:34:04 PM »
I was recently sent 8 samples of render to match up with the existing stuff on the house that needs repair.

Each sample is embedded in a hard plastic tray. They measure 19x15x1.5 centimetres and each weighs 500gm. This is what they look like:

It’s been suggested they’d make good launch pads for rockets but I don’t have a need for that at the moment :D.

Suggestions?

Doug

1) Landing pads. Paint an ID letter/number on it
2) Stick a few 'crumbly' bits of walls around the edge. You'll have aruin.
3) Paint it up as if it was liquid. Add to the illusion by having something,
(head, arm. tentacle) sticking out of the 'liquid'.
4) Score it heavily almost diagonally. Then snap it. Glue the long sides together
    for a fortress ruin.
5) Hit it with a hammer (safety glasses on) & glue the bits together in a different formation.
Cover with a mixture of PVA glue, sand & sawdust. voila, jungle covered ruins.

I would use them to protect my work surface, either from high impacts when using punches or from condensation from cold drinks in the summer.   :D
A bottle of scotch and two aspirin a day will greatly reduce your awareness of heart disease.

If they are cold, leave them on the floor by the bed ready for when you wake up with cramp....

First thing that came to mind was aircraft runway / taxi pads.

I would see if a local modelling club could use them https://ipmsuk.org/ipms-network/
