@dickiegranthum: Oh, thanks. :)

@arshak: Cheers! The Guard Chasseurs surely took the longest to paint too. But a cool unit. Great to see GdA2 being so popular. I bought the first version years ago, and never even ge to play it. :D I play a lot of Napoleonics but only ever really at a friend's, with his 15mm collection. My own Napoleonics (28mm and 6mm) pretty much lie dormant. Rheinbund armies are a really interesting topic. Were they usually brigaded together/put in the same division? Which ones do you have in mind specifically?

Thanks for your kind reply. I am returning to 15mm Napoleonics since more than fifteen years of break, so the plan would be finishing an army of Late Saxons (1812-1813) started back at the time and, as the friend with whom I will mainly game is keen on the 1809 campaign (understandably, as we are based in Vienna – we are neighbors  ;)), I am now thinking to paint some Württembergers (which seem to be trendy at the moment even here on the forum).. I have so many French bought for conversions (I have this sickness…) that a further possibility would be the German division in Spain (in which units of various German states were indeed gathered together, very colorful), but this will depend on how often I will really manage to game etc..you know, the life of wargaming projects is a complex issue…
Will you paint more 15mm Napoleonics in the near future or already moved to other things?

Wait, you're located in Vienna and play GdA2? Have we met before? There'll be an event in late October in...Sieghartskirchen? with a historical focus IIRC.

In theory (meaning that I got stuff for it, but never get to play. :D ) 1809 has been my main area of interest for the past years as well. Few years ago I played an 1809 campaign with a friend: http://tabletopstories.net/?s=kampagnen. All his terrain and figures, which is part of why my own Napoleonic figures don't see much action or painting. If I play Napoleonics it's usually Sharp Practice at my friend's. So the main inclination for me to get my own stuff painted isn't really there. Somehow I'm still that much of a wargamer that 'the game' is the main motivator for me to get stuff painted.

I have indeed moved on to other things already, because I have to. :D But I always enjoy painting 15mm Napoleonics. Painted a lot of them, hope that I'll paint a lot more in the future.

I have sent you a PM yesterday but I just realized that there is no trace of it in my outbox, so I just tried again right now, hoping that this time it will reach you.
