As per title I'm seeking scale comparison of Resin Warfare  Republican Romans and Sassanian Persian v the usual larger 28mm figures ie Victrix.   If anyone has both I'd love to know.   Side by side photos would be amazing :)

Thanks

They’re STL files so you can print them any size you fancy…

yeah but I'm getting them professionally done as I don't have 3D printer . 28mm.  So wondering how the " standard settings "   compare ?

I downloaded the free sample from the kickstarter campaign (an Immortal), and measured him to be 30.5mm from sole to eyeline, so a bit bigger than I would have expected. 28mm from the sole to the mental crease (i.e. the mid-chin), and I'd estimate he'd be 33mm sole to crown, so he's kinda tall. I assume he is a good representative of the rest of the range. As has been pointed out you can resize him as you need.
That's one side of the equation, I don't have any victrix figures to compare though.

You'd be lucky to find newer 28mm (to the eyes) figures that aren't significantly taller. Anything up to 32mm is common. They're all playing catch up to the larger D&D type figures. Scale creep means that the old 25mm standard is now closer to 35mm which is getting silly. One of the Lucid Eye figures I got recently is 33mm to the eye but they're still sold as 28mm.

Thanks guys.  Sounds like the standard sizing for Resin Warfare will be good w  Victrix/Aventine/Agema sort of larger 28mm scale figures.

I fished out a Victrix Roman and some Aventine Sassanians for comparison (below). Very close sizewise, the Aventine figure are marginally slimmer. I don't have them any more but my memory of the Aventine Etruscans is that they were a fair bit chunkier. So perhaps the same is true of their Rep. Romans...

To scale up that nice Resin Warfare example above you will need to shrink the print by about 8%.

Best one I've seen is RW's own comparison on their recent Kickstarter

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/resinwarfare/blades-of-persia-the-rise-of-the-shah/posts/4177075

I bought a test set of their Late Roman Cavalry, printed by a third party at 28mm, and think they are just a little on the smaller size than Victrix. Most notably though they are less "bulkly" than the Victrix cavalry. Victrix horses though do tend quite "fat" compared to standard "ebob" type horses. What I didn't expect, however, was the cavalry would be a single piece of resin. I just assumed the rider and horse would be separate. Bad assumption!

Could be a real advantage for printed figures, being able to do good one piece cavalry with the rider fitting nicely to their mount.

That's exactly what I wanted.   Thanks  WorkShy
