Hard Plastic fun
« on: 11 January 2025, 02:07:48 PM »
Wrote up my thoughts on the joy to be had working with hard plastic box sets. Just in case it is of use, and because I’m pretty pleased with how my messing about with Riflemen is coming on.

I like them. Sharpe and Harper are easily recognisable. Are there more to come?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

8 characters, each in 4 poses.

Just read the blog. That is a unique and wonderful take on the whole thing, well done!

Just in case anyone is interested in how they turned out, here’s the 32, remember there are only 4 different body styles on the sprues.  So I did each of the eight characters in four poses:

Kneeling
With full gear at quick time
On the firing line
In their Silver Bayonet characteristic pose

I think that making each character in four different poses was a brilliant solution to the limited options of the set! Well done! For a detailed skirmish game, or for telling a photo story this is a fantastic option that I'm stealing!

Very nice!

Don't think anyone has ever done this before...

I did this long ago in 1/76–72nd WW2 plastics for a WSYWIG skirmish game.
