For my second barons war  i used a mix of
Mirliton knights mounted
Fireforge foot
Mirliton and foundry command


Then for my Scottish wars
Claymore and antediluvian miniatures

I'm a fan of Essex for that time range.  They hold up well vs more modern sculpts and have a lot of interesting detail on their armor I think.  They're not as tall as some of the newer figs but not far off either.  They are a little chunkier but that helps them blend in I think.
