These are standard bearers for The Brothers Of The Blade, one of several of The Martial Guilds in The Embattled Realms. Dedicated to the mastery of warrior skills, these organizations provide masterfully trained and exquisitely equipped soldiers to the many conflicts in the region. Sometimes it is as individual fighters, others as complete units, and, on occasion, in the form of entire armies pursuing the respective guild’s objectives.

The standard bearers for these units are generally selected from the older and more experienced members of each guild, ensuring the highly-valued banners they carry are well protected and that unit leaders, often younger and perhaps more impetuous members, have a steady and seasoned veteran ready to provide guidance and counsel.

The figures shown are from Reaper Miniatures (James St. Johnson) and are painted with Reaper paints. The colors used were:

Grey brush-on primer - overall.
Tarnished steel - plate armor and sword blades.
Blackened steel - mail armor.
Ancient bronze - Sword hilts, belt buckles, chest insignia, standard points, and guidon emblems.
True blue - surcoats and guidons.
Rich leather - gloves, boots, belts, and scabbards.
Twilight blue - shirts and trousers.
Fair skin - skin.
Russet brown - standard poles.
Saddle brown - hair and beards.
Blond hair - hair and beards.
Ginger cookie - hair and beards.
Volcanic orange - hair and beards.
Muddy olive - bases.
Flesh wash diluted with wash medium - skin.
