Miniature Identification
« on: February 20, 2025, 10:34:42 AM »
Hello everyone!

I recently bought a bulk lot of miniatures and this little ship was in it. I thought it might be an early 40k Epic piece but so far I can’t find anything.

Any identification help appreciated!

Pretty certain it's not 40k. Might be an early spaceship from somebody like QT.

It's a Citadel QT miniature indeed: a C43 "Protector"

And the fore end of this multi part freighter:

QT changed direction/name.
They sold off some of their moulds (the Starforce range of SF ships and the multipart 25mm figures), but they still do 15mm although under the name Museum Miniatures.
Oddly enough they are looking at bringing out some 10mm SF figures/vehicles etc. Lovely looking models if they get them released.

This is so interesting. As someone who only ever knew about GW minis five years ago, it’s a real joy to discover what’s out there and how they’ve come about.

Where as I who knew of QT to Citadel (GW) for decades, there's a QT ship in the back of 1992's Full Thrust, never realized that the concern is still doing business. Kewl!

I remember talking to QT at a show in the early 80s and buying some of their SF micro (5mm) range. Nice models with which I had some good games. I can only remember one side, that had hover tanks. No idea what happened to these models  ::)
