Five Parsecs From Home (1e) Campaign
« on: 18 April 2025, 02:51:32 PM »
WEEK 1

Fleeing from the brutal crackdown decreed by governor Mantis on people that are not up on their taxes, our drifters meet in a back alley of the mega-city Nemain.  The randomly generated characters were (from left to right): Echo (a bounty hunter with a Power Claw), Sakir (and ordnance specialist from a religious cult) and Christa (a genetically enhanced hulker modified to have an absurdly strong body).

On the first week they are tasked with a raid on some of the private info terminals that the Counters Gild have around the planet to regulate trade. The objective is to infiltrate a warehouse and access three terminals. The warehouse is guarded by hired muscle.

You're playing the 1e version of 5PFH? That's using a totally different set of rules to the current version, no?

Yes, exactly. I'm using the first edition that came out in 2014 as a supplement for Fivecore Skirmish (1e). In the first edition, the characters have no stats (they have talents and flaws), the combat system is totally different (I like Fivecore) and there's less book keeping (no credits or XP to track). That said, I think the game is great both in the 1st and 3rd edition. The 2nd was too schematic in my opinion.
