Sources for 10 mm Sengoku buildings
« on: May 10, 2025, 02:52:06 PM »
So where can I get Japanese buildings fir Sengoku era battles suitable for 10 mm scale?

I’ve looked at N Gauge Japanese stuff and most of the suitable buildings ate OOS.  eg old style temples and thatched houses.

Oshiro do 6 mm and 2D6 do the mura resin in 6 mm.  Are these going to be too small?

The Castle Arts with Pendraken don’t appear to be available.

Any others I’ve missed?

Pendraken do a range of 10mm Japanese buildings for the period. THey were expecting a delivery soon last I heard.

I generally go down a scale for buildings if I'm gaming anything other than 1:1 skirmish.

Visually I think the slightly smaller buildings look better for whatever reason. I have some of the Wargames Atlantic 10mm Japanese sengoku sets and I plan to use 6mm scenery for them.

Not Japanese but these give an idea about going a scale down:

3mm farm with 6mm figures

10mm figures with 6mm buildings

These are a nice collection. They are also quite small.

I do often go down a scale for buildings, but wouldn't really feel the need to with these.

I'm struggling to find a photo that shows the size vs the figures.

I’ve plumped for the Mura from 2d6 based on the range and handy to add on some WW2 Germans to the order.  The Oshiro look nice but there are no temples or other add ons like the Tori gates.  No sign of the Pendraken restocking and they don’t appear to be much different to the Mura.
