In 1906, the first roundabout was built in Wadiya, starting a world wide craze and the obvious lie that the British created the first Roundabout in 1907. Its creation was documented in The Wadiyah Times on opening day April 1st 1906, sadly the records were lost when the paper burned down in 1965.

To commemorate the 50th year since its creation, a large monument was erected in the middle of the roundabout in 1966. This did create a sharp increase in donkey related fatalities, something the Department of Tobacco, Donkeys and Firearms strongly denies.

This was my backup entry after I wrecked the original one last weekend. I hope to get that fixed somewhere in the future. Dimensionally it is overly large and I left off most scale specific items on this, so it is also playable for 28mm. I've made a "after the Revolution" copy as well to use after the loss of a game or to recapture it. Just for funsies. I'll post up the other entries as well after the deadline expires.

Love the bullet and shell holes in the mural...! Great idea for a scatter terrain piece!

Those are really fun additions to the terrain shelf for sure. And even realistic too; many countries have 'leaders' that would love to depict themselves in this manner!

Is that Sacha Baron Cohen?

In his role as The Dictator, yes  :D
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Is that Sacha Baron Cohen?

Yes. As Daeothar mentioned, in his role as Admiral General Aladeen of the Republic of Wadiya. Not my brand of humor perse, but with all the news coverage etc a treasure trove of stuff I can use for my AK-47 15mm forces and background. Due to my interests I was more keen on something with an Arab background for AK-47, so this was the perfect choice. Plus I can fill in the blanks anyway I see fit and scratchbuild to my little hearts content. Still need to convert his 15mm likeness, I have the base model here with me, just need to sculpt on a beard and some minor details and paint up his golden 4x4.

Those are really fun additions to the terrain shelf for sure. And even realistic too; many countries have 'leaders' that would love to depict themselves in this manner!

They are really fun to make and scatter all around the table :) There will be more.... :D

The exit holes from the two rounds that penetrated the shot up one are a very nice touch! As far as the size of the monuments goes, if there’s one thing tin pot dictators agree on all over the world, it is that there is no such thing as “too big” for a self-aggrandizing monument…
