Khurasan releases US Army infantry WWII (commercial)
« on: September 04, 2025, 07:47:29 AM »
Khurasan Miniatures has expanded our 15mm Late WWII 15mm range with US Army infantry for 1943-45:

We have started with the building block of any WWII army, the infantry platoon, and we’ve also released company level infantry support weapons.

We will be making AT guns and light artillery for both the Americans and Germans next. If these are well received, we will further expand these ranges, and will make the British and Soviets as well.

Tom Dulski, no reason you can't get started in 15 mm  (Too old?  I'm 68 and not too small for me).  I've also thought gaming WWII in anything larger than 15 mm a bit odd.  Just severely restricts the table action.

Of course, I have other issues with gaming the period with a big one being it takes far too long to play what turns out to be a few seconds - maybe, only maybe, a few minutes - of 'actual' combat time.  I'll be generous and say 5 minutes in a turn that takes 20 minutes to play out so to play 30 minutes of battle time would take two actual hours; that just doesn't translate to fun for me.  To each their own of course.

Very tempting figures however.

The main reason being that I have enough trouble painting 28mm guys, I can't imagine trying to paint something so small. My skills are not there yet.

Actually easier to paint 15 mm in my opinion.  Paint to a game table standard and just use a wash with minimal need for highlights - though possible.  No need to paint to a Steve Dean 15 mm standard - though spectacular if you can - to have a decent looking and playable set of figures.  And quite likely Steve Dean painted those figures, he seems to do a large percentage of Khurasan's sample figures.
