The type of cheese they consume? :)

 :D :D :D

The thing is that not only Russians and foreigners served in Russia, but also foreigners in Russian clothes.

I have books about the Swedes, but not about the French, Dutch and Germans.

The mercenaries I am referring to are those employed by the Swedes. They are named in the documents I attached previously in this thread. In 1611-1613 these and several more included:

Infantry

Bodyguard(infantry) company of Jacob de la Gardie led by Daniel Hepburne with German soldiers

Jacob de la Gardie's Regiment of 7 German companies (Grey dress)

Infantry Regiment led by Samuel Cobron, 9 companies of English and Scottish but also one German company and one from Switzerland. (Blue and grey dress)

Infantry Regiment led by Reinhold Taube, 3 German companies, 2 Scottish, 1 Polish

Infantry Regiment led by Johan Mönnichhofen, 5 Dutch companies (Blue and grey dress)

Cavalry

One Scottish company under Patrick Ruthwen
One Scottish company under John Wacop
One Scottish company under John Sutherland
One French company under Jakob Bourgnignon de Corobel
One French company under Pierre de la Ville

Regarding dress, it seems the infantry were in several cases provided with cloth for uniforms by the Swedish army. Either ready made jackets and trousers in Blue and/or gray or cloth for them to make their own. I would expect them all to look similar(to the Swedes) except for the Scottish (using some berets and maybe plaids).

I would expect the cavalry to be light, reiter types with small differences between the countries. I asked ChatGPT to explain potential differencies and got a response that look quite plausible:

'Beret' in this case being a bonnet*. Lest any of our Scottish bretheren take umbrage. I'm not sure the Auld Alliance quite runs to headwear and baguettes.  ;)

* Not to be confused with a Scotch Bonnet, a rather spicy pepper, popular in Caribbean cooking.

Some time ago I've become really fascinated by an idea of foreign mercenaries dressed in a mix of European and local clothes. It can look rather unusual and interesting. Probably I will do something like that for my own range of 15mm miniatures.

The problem is that it is now impossible to send money across the border and it is very difficult to send goods.

If only I could leave myself  lol

Dima, there are no difficulties in sending to Europe. The only inconvenience is that delivery has become longer (about a month and a half). And, besides, Poland and Finland do not have postal exchange with Russia (although my clients simply order to post boxes or to the address of friends in neighboring countries). But yes, sending money is not easy. You need to master cryptocurrencies, but this is inconvenient for the buyer.
