It seems as if we are on the cusp of a dramatic change in the hobby. Especially with the changes in FDM print quality.

There are big changes coming, but 3d printing is still a hobby in it's own right - i have a x1c Carbon bambulab printer that 'just works' I can set the quality and didn't need to watch any videos to get it working - but that was $1000. When you can get a 3D printer for $200 and never have to change a setting, and can just take models off ready to play that when things really change. We're kind of in the dot matrix era of paper printing for plastics, and yes you will want to throw your printer out the window sometimes ;-)

3D printing has amazing potential, especially for the types and poses of models you can make but if I have to watch 10 videos to get the settings right I'm spending more time on tech than on wargaming. I was at the first My Mini Factory conference for tabletop 3D print creators a week ago with over 80 creators in the room for the first time ever it was incredible.

It is that level of attention that you need to apply to the machine that keeps me out of that aspect of the hobby. :-)

On topic, are there going to be any changes to the Hardwar rules from the version produced by Strato? Or is it primarily an editing job?

I have been working on a blog post covering the changes in the rules from Horizon Wars to Hardwar that I hope to have finished soon. Would be good to be able to add any changes that are coming in the new version

We're doing a HEAVY edit as some of the English translation from the polish had issues, we've added in the contents of the No Heroes and Extended Hardwar into text in the appropriate places. We're going to review a handful of Skills that might be overpowered and then adding in the Quickplay and Solo rules. The core original rules themselves won't change (bar tweaking a skill maybe)

I just noticed you have an electronic edition with STLs included.  That's fantastic.  I know your primary focus is 6mm, but do you have a sense if the models would look good printed for 15mm scale?

They actually did a small 15mm range but we've not looked at that yet. Our team remastered the models and fixed a few issues so I think it would likely be fine, though details are sometimes simplified to work best at 6mm.

We crossed the £100k goal to unlock some introductory fiction by Doug Seacat who's written for Privateer Press and also our own Cohors Cthulhu. Backers will start to see chunks in backer only updates in the coming days

Great news. One of my highlights of GenCon, when I went, was meeting up with Doug.

I didn't notice rules for infantry, just vehicles.
