Urban Bases quickly made

so here I sit at home sick, I thought to myself that I figure out my gangster declare Bases
da gabs from and ask a few of the materials and so and so for all who are interested in - Urban Bases quickly made

I have completely changed in my miniatures on washers as a base
5cent pieces before I had taken in the town but they are bases for my opinion is too high and then have no smooth surface for the road
So I have washers me by Reisser (www.reiss-screws.com) 4.3 x 20 mm / bodywork disks in the local hardware load brought
Then you still need from KIBRI (http://rire-modelle.de/neu/) road pavement (no. 4123)



you handle it intersects the road pavement and remove the tin (if any) of the figure so that they can stand flat on the road later


then places it so the plastic washer on the pavement, the middle hole is covered and records at
Here man can decide how much road will be seen later on, I'll always vary a bit so that not all figures have same Bases


Then it is easy to cope with a rough cut scissors

Now I have with a sharp knife to cut off parts übestehenden
this man gets a flush very nice transition from washer and plastic and the glue acts as spachtel


male nor can a little with sandpaper to smooth the edges of me, I have now a knife scraping technique worked out quickly and delivers good results


then and now, the figure still stuck on the promenade, man, they can also donate but only as deep as the plastic is strong as I can not drill through the washer, with some figures makes the most sense but I am so stuck on it and they super hold


and then painted and finished the arbor


so that's it, I hope you could pull out something for you - in this senses

Very nicely done. Here I've been trying to sculpt some sort of pavement-like texture on the bases with green stuff.

I found some US distributors (train hobby sites) for the Kibri sidewalks and roads, but alas I could not find any in O-scale.  They all look to be HO,N, or Z.

Use a bladed compass and you'll get perfect curves, also works for thinner plasti-card but when you look at around 39p per resin base from the likes of fenris or Jed over at Barule, you need to factor in your time vs resin.

Nice idea though.

the Kibri road is a H0 product, but fits well with 28mm figures
I used the version H0
