Scabbards on Brigade Games Swashbucklers?

A question to those who own the "Swashbucklers and Musketeers" from Brigade Games: Did you glue on the scabbards?
I sanded the backside of the scabbard flat so the glue has a larger surface to stick to. But still most of them are falling off when I touch them.  :(
I usually haven't problems gluing things together but this parts drive me crazy. Somebody please help me!

I glued all mine on with some extra sanding and they were initially fidly.  Once painted though I haven't had any problems. I love how all the latest additions to the lines have them already molded on.
