1/72nd KV-2 754 (r)
« on: 03 January 2010, 03:01:19 AM »
THIS IS A 1/72nd TRUMPETER KIT, WITH SOME CONVERSION WORK. I CUT OFF THE SOLID PLASTIC LADDERS, AND REPLACED THEM WITH 1/16"th BAR. I WANTED THIS KIT TO REALLY LOOK SPENT, MORE GUNK THAN PAINT. MY GOAL WAS TO MAKE SHOTS OF THIS KIT REALLY LOOK 1/35th. Oh and I also put it on ebay if anyone wants it http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0556630191

That's nicely done.  The weathering is very effective, it looks like real rusted metal/ peeling paint.  I definitely would have assumed it was 1/35 scale if I didn't know otherwise.

Not my usual kind of business, but your painting and weathering job is absolutely outstanding and as realistic as possible in this scale.

Great work!

That Ebay link is not working for me, could you perhaps provide it again? I'd like to see where this piece of art is going to pricewise ...
