Old Soviet surreal sci-fi cartoon.
« on: February 14, 2010, 06:12:57 AM »
I'd like to share VERY STRANGE old sci-fi soviet cartoon with you. Its so SURREAL, so POWER OFF your brains and just watch it. Sorry for poor video quality.

It  have name "Урок" or "Lesson" in english. You dont need to know russian language, because cartoon does not have any words. And most of  background textes are in english. Cartoon have VERY STRANG DRAWING STYLE. All humans are white, backgrounds are coloured in VERY STRANGE WAY but animals are colored normay.

In this strange cartoon, group of space explorers/hunters lands on uninhabitant planet. This planet have very interesting feature: if you kill an animal or plant on this planet... YOU WILL TRANSFORM INTO THIS ANIMAL!

I hopw someone may enjoy this VERY STRANGE SURREAL CARTOON. For me this is the MOST CREZY AND SURREAL THING I SAW IN MY LIFE! SO if you even dont really like such things PLESE watch it untill the end (its not very long). The middle part of cartoon (where people start to transform into the animals) is very mind blowing.

And PLEASE post your replys :)

PS. The only thing was lest in my mind after finishing wathcing this crazines: Doest the scriptwriters uses drugs to imagine this cartoon?

looks alot like the stuff the Heavy metal puts out.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

2 commissarmoody , what do you mean?

2 Hauptgefreiter , I remember seeing malboro in some 1980-ths soviet movies. Maybe for societs who live under Iron Curtain (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iron_Curtain) foreign sigarets was something VERY COOL. There was a huge problem in getting foreign goods (which was superrior that soviets one)

Now about this cartoon. I saw it first time when I was only 10-13 years old. It was shock (by the way, this is adult, not child cartoon). I like the moment when they killed a frog to revam a man, but frog ripped at  severeal pieces, which transformed into frog-mans. OW! And they forgot 1 little frogmen on the planet. Poor little guy :( :( :( :( :( :(  :'( :'( :'(

I suspected as much. I just found it strange to show this in a publication everone could see...
Maybe it was meant to show that by the time the story takes place the Soviet Union has achieved World Domination  ;)
