Western Town Felt Game Mat

H

Has anyone got one (or more) of these?

Are they worth investing in?

I have the small town one and personally love it. You can get a different pattern on the backside where I have the desert theme without the streets. Very nice and useful.

Yes.  I grad it "A-" for gaming.   :-*  You trade off flexibility for "atmosphere" with the streets printed on the mat but I don't have an quibbles with that.   :)

It's the base for my pueblo but it's on the basement table (which is undersized for the mat.)  I suspect being able to open it fully would possibly move it to an "A" but I'm not buying a larger table just for the mat.   ;)

Warbeads, you just buy a piece of plywood to put on your table , then put the mat to full size, save the cost of a new table?

How does the printed rock pattern look? I have to say it seems a bit cheesy in the photo.

Good idea!  I will explore if there has been any change in the "You want it?  It's yours!" ex-dining room table but she has two newer ones (one in basement for folding laundry) so there shouldn't be any worst case concerns about scratching the surface...  I guess 3 tables in 25 years isn't too bad although I think we might want to consider another one when the last two kids (16 and 21 currently) leave home.

Gracias,

Glenn

Just put a non skid shower pad or three between plywood and table surface if you not going to outright attach the plywood to the table top?

how was the shipping cost and speed of delivery from the USA?

I'm in the UK, so not too far from you  :)

Thanks warbeads !

Gluteus Maximus,
I have order new stuff from Hotzmats ( Gladiator Arena and Europeen Field) last week.
The shipping cost for the 2 mats are 15$ and for delivery is between 4 or 5 weeks.
So wait and see...

Thanks, that's a very reasonable shipping charge and not too long to wait.

I might have to put one (or two) on my Christmas list  :D
