Hi
« on: 02 March 2010, 02:19:24 PM »
Hello,
I am completely new to this forum type stuff (normally I just watch from afar and dont join in,"Mummy always said that I dont play well with others!") so I hope I dont make myself look a bigger fool than I usually manage!
I have been painting and collecting for about 2 years now (works incredibly well as therapy and costs about the same!) I started where I guess most people do 'Games Workshop';Chaos Marines (got bored with them),Space Orks (too much green), Vampire Counts (bored again) and then I discovered Legends of the Old West (LOVE IT). Now I'm getting into .45 Adventure and Pulp and Cthulhu related bits. Watching the site I have also become rather interested in VSF.
Guess thats about it really..........so HI!

P.S. Can anyone tell me how to post pictures, really cant work it out.

Some good looking buildings there - home made or bought in ?
If they are home made, how did you do the tiled roof ?
And the water tower ?

Is it my eyesight or are the shadows slightly orange ?

Apart from that welcome aboard.

Sorry about the orange shadows,I'm not a great photographer and couldn't get them to come out very good.
All buildings are scratch built. I used Wills finecast tiles for the roofs, they are supposed to be for model railway stuff but I find they work great for wargame buildings(you can pick them up in most places that sell model railways and they come in a large variety of designs)
The water tower is a spray paint lid with balsa strips glued around it and the frame was also made from balsa wood. The top is just a piece of circular card with a few more balsa strips as batons

Nice stuff, Bobble.

Welcome aboard.
I don't know whether to be a good example or a horrible warning.
