Dinosaur source, please?
« on: February 18, 2009, 01:40:52 PM »
Against by better advice, one of my gaming buddies wants to mount some 1/72 mongels on velocoraptors  ::)

It is for a fantasy game (fortunately!) but I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some suitable dinosaur models, please?  Doesn't have to be exactly a velocoraptor, so long as it looks like a carnivourous dinosaur and would reasonably mount a 1/72 horseman (dinoman?).

Cheers! And thanks in advance for your tolerance of the unusual request.

Keeper.

Reaper also does raptors and velociraptors.

Or perhaps a Triceratops if you want to make a howdah.

But hurry with HLBS - 28 mm range to be canceled by the end of the month!
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Tamiya do some kits too.
Can't remember the scale, but the raptors come in a box of six (I think)

Tamiya's velociraptors are 1/35 scale, and I think you are right, they come in a set of 6.

Browse your second hand stores and discount toy 7 game stores for the old Jurasic Park Lost Worlds game. Lots of plastic velosorapters & even a small t-rex. Check it to be sure the plastic pieces are there.

Thanks for the loads of advice, chaps :)  He's currently torn between the RPE ones and some 15mm lizard dinos from Magister Muilitum (sp?). I shall try and remember to let you know which way he finally decides, and if I can ever talk him into holding a paintbrush of his own, get some pics! :)
