They split up. The company is gone. What more can be said. They owed me some items from Historicon 2008 which I paid for and never received.  >:(
Victory is guaranteed to the last man standing, but always remember those whom you stepped on to get there!!

They had already been having problems when this all happened.  Very slow delivery rate, not regularly updating their site, items contract to be cast but not actually appearing...

Shortest version I can give you of this, in order to avoid offending any affected parties: owner decided he'd had enough, abandoned his wife and family, defaulted on all contracts. Different versions of the "why," but the end result was the same. There was some talk of selling the inventory and lines to various companies in public auction, but that never happened. Instead, various friends of the LWR picked up a few of the ranges, whilst others (the creator of Parroom Station) simply took their lines elsewhere (ala Brigade Games). Some ranges and their future are still in doubt.

I've personally looked high and low for their "Fighting Men of India" range, but no one seems to have taken it up and probably never will. A real shame.  :'(

It is a shame they folded, it was fun rummaging around the site lookiing for goodies. Then there's the £35 I paid for figures that never arrived  :'(.

Dayton Painting Consortium of Ohio have picked up their SYW Spanish figures.

I heard much the same thing about their demise. Although I only placed one order with them three years ago my personal experience was good. My stuff was ordered online from the UK and arrived within a week. The models are excellent. I even got a Xmas card from them that year.

I really hope some more of their ranges pop up again here and there. It;s starting to happen now with a lot of the old fantasy ranges I noticed at WMMS.
