Thank you very much Dave. Highly appreciated!

I managed to make enough shutters (some 200 in three sizes)  but never dreamed of doing doors and windows myself.

You've inspired me enormously and it might be very well thanks to you that my project survives after Liz at Grandt Line did her best to ruin it.

Another quick brickwork test, I did this one in plaster of paris and made the grout lines deeper.  This time they took the paint very easily, and i think they'll show up fine on the finished building without blending in.

Btw, that's and awesome link odd duck, very cool stuff.  I'm heading to the train shop today to pick up some more plasticard to make more frames and such, so i'll try and get some pics up in by thursday (on shift tomarow).

odd duck - Thanks!  Actually the new panels deeper grout lines is what made it so easy.  On a plastuct sheet the lines are barely more than scoreing, the grout lines on mine are almost 1/32 inch deep. My method is to base coat everything in the brick color (Anitas - Rust Red), then wash it with the grout color (Anitas - Antique White), then give a drybrush of the base color to brighten the bricks back up.  The deeper grout lines make the drybrushing stay where it's supposed to.  The trick with the wash is to add a flow improver (I use "Future", at about 1:4 with water) so that fills the grout without covering the brick faces.  Hope that helps  :)

twrchtrwyth - Thank you, I just finished designing the actual brickwork patterns for the building and should have some decorative panels up early next week after I get the windows finished.

Thanks again,
- Dave

So far so good!  I really like the two new windows.  Can't wait to see a finished building.  I bought two of your first building so I am excited about this upgrade! :)
