Greetings from Dalanshin
« on: 26 April 2010, 02:23:52 PM »
Greetings to all,

Just signed up on the Lead Adventures forum and thought it proper to introduce myself.  My name is Nikolai Ruskin and I am part artist, musician and miniatures terrain maker among other things.

I grew up with a lot of roleplaying games, ran some big live action (Masquerade) games out in Santa Rosa and San Francisco, California around 1993 as a lad, and transitioned in to wargames with 40k and later Warhammer.  As with many other long time Games Workshop fans,  Space Hulk was the big catalyst that really sucked me in to the miniatures hobby.  These days I don't seem to have time or the community to play much miniatures gaming at all, but I do make boat-loads of terrain on commission.

My curent miniatures interests are Warhammer, Zombie, and Wild West.  I am beginning to dabble in writing my own rules sets and may look in to publishing sometime down the road, but for the moment (Spring 2010) I am busy enough just making terrain.

If you have time, please have a look at my terrain web site and my WIP blog, both linked below in my signiaure, and if you want to keep abreast of my latest terrain making madness, consider signing up to follow my blog (Valley of Isk).

By the way, if you haven't been killing zombies lately, there is something wrong with you...

@Mattias: skirmish stuff, one is zombie oriented (yeah, I know, everyone and their mother's son is making zombie games), and one is thief oriented.

@Bako:  yes indeed, I am enjoying this forum quite a bit.  It is so nice and refreshing to not have all of the focus on 40K for a change  lol  I am loving all of the numerous projects buried in these threads !!
