Second retinue done, working on last now in between some Anzacs circa 1915;

Nice work.  The banners might like more realistic with some furling.

Yeah just not sure if they were stiffened at this time to display the insignias properly if anyone can confirm this? Would prefer them furled personaly.

Apparently they were sometimes stiffened along the top, similar to the samurai sashimono.

Forgot to say I would make them a little wavy just for look of thing.

I'll look forward to seeing your Warwick the way you can paint stuff. Now how far have i got with this era?

So far i have two retinues,Sailsburys and Warwicks completed and am bashing out Falcounbergs retinue at the moment. I do two wings of 12 archers and a bill block of 12 per retinue so that a total of 72 finished in those two retinues so far. With Falcounberg (When thats finished) and a ten man 'archer guard' to protect my bombard that will give me 118 Infantry plus theres the command bases for each retinue.

Just counted total completed so far and its 84 foot and about 15 mounted personalities but Falcounbergs should be done by the weekend. This force is all Nevilles with the Father, his son Warwick, (his other sons banners, John and Thomas can be seen in Sailsburys retinue, i've given them an archer wing each just so i could get their banners in!) and going to find a Bishop figure to represent the last son George Neville. Oh and uncle Falcounberg of course has his unit.

Looking forward to the cavalry when they come out and that should give me a sizeable force though i will continue getting a different unit now and then just for fun, thinking of Edward IV at the moment just to get some murray in.

Clearly the Good Lord had you in mind, Phil, now you have been seduced by the 'Great Satan' of plastic figures ~ you know it disgusts me even to type the word 'plastic' really ~ but I have to say you have painted them nicely so far.

Mind you, a box for free says you don't finish the retinue off....
