Lord Weird Slough Feg!
« on: 20 July 2010, 04:11:57 PM »
"And so, he hankered after his past... after his youth..."

After re-reading 'The Horned God' (one of those previously far distant memories from my youth) I've got a hankering to start a Slaine project. One of the most interesting characters I found this time around was Weird Slough Feg. After a quick perusal of ebay I came across this figure!

To my mind, obviously influenced by this frame from the comic!

So, now the problem I have is finding suitable miniatures to represent Medb and my second favourite character, Avagddu. Any suggestions guys? I have a feeling Avagddu will end up being a conversion of some kind, though I'm still on the lookout for a suitable base miniature (and possibly a cauldron/pot of some kind). But for Medb I'd like to find something suitably 'sexy'.

Eventually I'd like to build up a small band of sickly looking barbarian types (possibly Drune Lords) as well as some 'beasties' (boars in particular reappear throughout). Feg is after all 'Lord of the Beasts'.  :D

So any suggestions gratefully recieved. All ranges considered. And if you're all good I'll keep you regularly updated.

The Celtos line had some zombie barbarians that could serve as sickly looking barbarians.

Got that and the Slough Feg too, curiously just posted a (bad) pic of them on Frothers.

I believe they were Roy Eastland sculpts, but not sure who released them. Sure mine just say REastland or something similar on the base (RJE, maybe?). Did he have his own company at one point?

Edit: Right, tracked down the thread where I bought them of Westphalia Chris, they appear to be Harlequin, and OOP for about 15 years.
