Nice as they are my big problem is their smocks, I HATE painting camoflage.

Not wanting to be Mr. Picky, but I'm not overly impressed with the jeep itself. The proportions don't look right, it seems stretched or squashed.

On the Artizan mailing list Dylan mentioned that the photos were taken with the masters of the crew, not the better fitting final models.

There should be some pics where it all looks the right shape and fit soon.  :)

Plus Mike accidentally primed it with the wrong primer. That said it still isn't really Artizan's best.

Big Guy- if you're having camo problems check out Dom Goh's tutorial of denison smocks on the NapNuts site. It's excellent.

I hope the crew are available as a seperate pack too. Actually, what I'd really like is some US and German crew figures! That would sort out my Corgi M3 half tracks nicely. 8)

We have crews casting right now as well...I should pick up one of Artizan's jeeps and see if our crews fit (they should, our jeep is in the same scale).  But if I do that, I'll end up buying all his new packs as well...

We only have LRDG, US Marine and US Great coat crews right now...but more are in development...regular US army is on the way...  All sculpted by Paul Hicks.

Not trying to hijack the thread or anything...just keeping folks aware of all the choices.  Mike Owen has down a couple of WW1 drivers for us as well, and they are real beauties!

How come you so often see vehicle seated miniatures starring up in the sky? Intentionally looking for FW-190s? I doubt it. Is it something with warping of the metal of seats and miniatures?

Trying to get an even tan?

Maybe on the lookout for carrier pigeons?

Mike stated on another forum that the feet need to be trimmed a bit.   That is what is making them look as if they are looking up.

Once trimmed. they will be facing fwd.

My fault- I supplied Mike with 'fat' masters instead of the normal sized production castings so the figures were too large to fit properly.

I'll be putting up photo's using the normal sized figures as soon as I can :-)
