woodbine seperate head packs
« on: 19 March 2011, 01:03:24 AM »
I'm trying to find the separate head packs from Woodbine for some conversions and can't seem to find them on the gripping beast web-site. Are they still available and can anyone post a link if they are?

Cheers

I'm actually considering buying some of the Turk heads myself, but I can't seem to figure out whether the 'Fez' for the officers is referring to the fur hat or the typical Turkish red one. I ask because none of the officers' heads in the examples shown are wearing any of the latter.

There are pictures of all the miniatures and heads. Are you saying you're unsure what officers wore?
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.

No I'm talking about the Officers Separate Head products. As you can see from the top picture, the officers are all wearing either a fur hat or the 'Enver Pasha' pith helmet. However, the actual separate packs talk about a fez (which is not shown) and ditto for the stahlhelm.

There are separate slouch hats, along with a fair deal of other British heads.

Wocha,

The Turk officers head sprues for Fez and similar are a cunning marketing device. Basically they are the normal troop hat sprues made available when buying the officer bodies. The officer bodies shown in the picture are wearing the hats featured on the officers mixed headgear sprue. The officer mixed headgear sprue is not available as a separate item on the website at the moment but if you e-mail the guys they should be able to sort you out.

Thank you for clearing that up for us. A very confusing system, I must admit.
