This fun game slot is purposed to allow you the fans a chance to play a wild game and show folks how fun it is to play. Bring a 700 point list (or two!) and be willing to have fun. Id like to hear from anyone willing to bring forces to the table and help . Any players with a 1500 point list that includes a train will be the feature of this event and should contact me ASAP if youd like to take part. also other that con entry fees this is a free to play game slot!
HUZZAH 2011 FOW Early war Doubles Tournament Sunday May 15th at 8:30 am.
Ø Two players per side.
Ø Teammates must bring either an Axis or Allied army from the Blitzkrieg book.
Ø Each player brings a 1000-point army and the armies may be chosen from the same army list or different army lists.
Ø Each player must bring a minimum of 1 HQ and 1 Combat platoon from their respective army list.
Ø Each player's army is treated as a separate company using the "More Than One Company" special rules located on page 119 of the Flames of War Rulebook.
Ø If both players' are using the same army list they will still count as two separate companies for the purposes of tournament play.
Ø Each player's army benefits from any army specific rules that have but no other player may benefit from special rules from other armies unless they are using the same army list.
Ø Swiss Style. Teams are matched according to either their win/loss record or overall points.
Ø Table size is 4'x6'. or could be a double sized table like for total war games.
Ø Minimum of 6 teams- Max of 10 teams
Ø Great tournament for veterans and beginners.
Special forums will be set up to allow teams to talk tactics and plan armies, one for Allied teams and one for Axis teams pre registering gets you access to one of these forums. *Send your basic info full name & nation playing and receive access to your nations forum.
A National Qualifier spot will be awarded to “best-painted army” with prizes and awards focused on the hobby side of gaming ie Best painted HQ, Best Painted Hero, most unique objective and others. Go to the Flames of War New England yahoo group for additional info and news.
Pre-registrations will receive a free MEDIC token, which allows one free re-roll. Players must shout “MEDIC” to use the token.
