I've resisted long enough.
« on: 27 April 2011, 06:34:36 PM »
Ok, I'm really tempted in getting into Strange Aeons now, after months of being a casual observer.

One question.  From all the minis and things I've seen, it seems based in the '30-40s'.  I want to do more modern Lovecraftian adventures.  Most of the models I've been working on are all modern, and I'm really looking foward to Fenris' modern Investigator/adventurers.

Would the rules be cohesive enough, no matter which decade I wish to game in?

Sure thing.  The stats for the weapoms and gear are generic enough that they could be applied to almost whatever you want.

Plus the Lurkers have a certain 'across space and time' type of appeal where they would be great in any past, present or futuristic scenario setting.

Absolutely -I've been thinking about this too...as although I'm loving being able to play SA in 10mm [which is my favourite scale nowadays] I already have a load of more 'modern' figures that could be easily used with SA - zombies, daemons, ghouls etc as well as modern SWAT figures, vampire hunters etc [if you're interested have a poke around here: http://nikharwood28mm.pbworks.com/ ]

I'm going to be giving some 'modern' SA a run-out pretty soon...but have also come to the conclusion that I need to add in some 20s figures [not to mention some 28mm Cthulhu stuff]. Addict, moi? Yep...

The followers slowly gather....  UMW should sell cowled robes with suitable adornements (and big hats)  lol

The game is great, and I can only lament that I find it hard to liberate enough time to get stuck in more often.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!
