alien life form chamber
« on: 02 July 2012, 04:08:03 PM »
just started again to work on my old Spacehulk (again) to add some more scenery. Does anybody know of an alien life form chamber that would fit? What i have in my mind are upstanding mansized glass cylinders, 3 in a row with, well, 'alien' life forms floating inside, but I am open to any suggestions here!

Get small plastic baby bottles, glue their lids upside down on whatever framework ( so you can change out what's in them) and kit them up.

or

...is what I have in mind.

Black Cat used to do some, not sure if they still do:

The ones from West Wind are quite nice. I bought them a while ago painted them and then decided to put the whole project on hold. But they are rather nicely painted.

The Olley ones are still available but a bit more elaborate with a price to match:

There's also a nice example of an economy chamber made from tubing, washers and bases:

They're no longer available but shouldn't be too hard to reproduce.

You can also quite easily mix some future floor + ink or liquid medium +ink, then apply it inside your bottle (turn it with your hand to make the liquid evenly ) and let it dry...A good way to create weird liquids !

You can also use school book colored translucid protection paper, especially for liquid tubes against a wall (to hide the "frontier" of paper).
