Objective marker/ Scene of Horror: Food for fishmen
« on: 06 June 2011, 09:34:36 PM »
I have painted the "Large crate with hands/tentacles" by Black Cat Bases (this is the link to the miniature http://blackcatbases.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=437_612&products_id=2130. I have only used  hands (I have saved the tentacles for another project). I would like to paint some more (I need some more free time).

That's amazing but I wouldn't wait for less after seeing your previous work.

If possible.. could you give the recipe for painting wood like that :)

Beautiful painting on a really cool model. I've got a few good scenario ideas for one of those...

Thank you!! I think this miniature is perfect for several scenarios. Black Cat Bases make a lot of interesting stuff to use in Scenes of horror and things like that.

If possible.. could you give the recipe for painting wood like that :)

I have used the Foundry Spearshaft Pallete starting with a Bay Brown colour base. I´ll try to do a minitutorial in my blog this week.

Excellent painting there!

I have one on route at the moment and was intending to go with the tentacle option but after seeing how awesome you have made the hands look (and the idea that they could be a deep one food supply :) ) I have re-evaluated!

Nice paintjob!
I like the way, how you have painted the wood  8)

I'm planing to use this model for an caged Dark Young of Shub Niggurath (my favorite myth creatures) using the tentacles. But what should I do with all those hands afterwards?  :D
