where did the poop go?
« on: 11 June 2011, 04:00:20 AM »
No, not the poop deck. Poop! poo poo, the big caca...

I ask as I am busy building my dock/town gaming board, and I noted in dockside pics of Legends of the High Seas, there appears to be a curved mouthed sewer outlet in the dockside wall.

This got me thinking - should I put sewer grates around the board? This could make for some interesting sneaking in and out of town type stuff.

But didnt want to do it until i knew a sewer system might actually have been in place in places like Port Royal in the 16 & 1700's?

Any thoughts??

Cheers
Scott

Gardee loo! Everything probably went down the middle of the streets, after being dumped out the upstairs window.  Good thing it rains a lot in the tropics! I don't imagine Port Royal was the height of sanitation during that period.  After all, even Mother Nature got fed up with the mess and took out most of the city with the earthquake in 1692!  ;)
