Jonah Hex Film
« on: 24 August 2011, 08:23:02 PM »
Just finished watchin and it seemd a little short to me, but some great content for games, did they have money problems..

The snake man, wow!

The comic style at the beginning was interesting but strangly not followed through the film...

Any 28mm figures around?

Some very poorly sculpted Heroclix, that's about it. If you want a proper Hex you gotta build him yourself. Awful, awful movie of a great comic character.
I am looking for the following Deadlands minis:  Shotgun Thug, Lost Soul, Cleaners, Railroad Workers & Feral Dead. If you have any of these minis, or if you are one, please send me a PM.

Yeah Matakishi that's Josey Wales...but aside from the scar they share the same general look, so easy mistake. Plus depending on what you game with that mini is huge!

Ho hum, I do know who it's meant to be. My point was that it's just as much Jonah Hex, the face is so badly moulded that it's virtually identical. It's 32mm tall, perfectly ok for a hero in any range surely.

He works for me and I hadnt seen him before but is perfect, thank god for that dodgy face on the mini I say :D

The film was a let down. I was also looking forward to the Film Gallow walker but looks like it never got finished...think occult bounty hunter fighting the undead or Blade in a stetson ;)

I am thinking of modelling the rearing horse with twin mounted gatling guns. Who doesn't want one of those?

Rattrap do a pack of Space Cowboys in their Fantastic Worlds miniature line, the head on the cowboy is a dead ringer for Hex. You could do a minor conversion by just giving that mini a new gun, or do what I did remove the head & place it on a better old west body (I used an Artizan Civil War body myself).

No offense meant Matakishi, if your super picky about scale like I am that mini just looks very tall next to most Artizan & Foundry cowboys, scales up great with Black Scorpion though.
