ACW Union Minis

I've finally come around to photograph my Union Troops and put them on my Blog.

Union minis: Perry Plastics, Dixon, Foundry and Warlord Games
livestock, rail fence and river: Pegasus Hobbies
trees: Heki and GW with flocking from Heki, Noch and Woodland Scenics
bridge: Italeri
gaming mat, bases and hill: GW
dirt roads: self buildt

I use them for Brother against Brother and as stand-ins for US Infantry and US Cavalry in LotOW until I get some Plains Wars Infantry/Cavalry.

They are way to much minis for that purpose, but I could't resist building two companies of infantry with realistic unit sizes (and I got a free third Company in marching poses from the Perry Plastics sprues)

Fantastic I particularly like the bridge by Italeri and the cows - adding animals on ones battlefield always helps set the atmosphere and indeed can become part of the objectives if playing scorched earth type games or pillage a village or even one group of troops are hungry... I recall a game in which a unit of Orcs spent the battle feasting as opposed to worrying about the enemy.
