GottaCon 2012, Feb 3-5, Victoria BC

Figured I'd start a topic for our "big" local convention. It's unlikely anyone not already in Victoria will make the ferry trip over for it, but you never know!

GottaCon 2012 runs Friday February 3rd through Sunday Feb. 5th here in Victoria, way out on Canada's far west coast. It's a mixed convention, everything from computer gaming to RPGs to board games to miniatures. Far too much tournament gaming for my taste, but we manage to get a few non-tourney games run every year and this year should be better than previous ones for real, non-tourney miniatures!

Saturday afternoon I'm running "Jurassic Pulp II: Rex Returns!" using the .45 Adventure 2nd Edition pulp rules, in which Model Ts and other terrifyingly flimsy 1920s cars attempt not to get trampled or squashed by stampeding dinosaurs. Entertaining mayhem should abound!

I might also be running a  Russian Civil War game using TFL's Mud & Blood rules, but I haven't committed to that yet.

If anyone is contemplating coming over to Victoria for this, from Vancouver, Seattle or further afield, let me know, we should be able to set you up with a place to sleep so you don't have to cough up for a hotel for the weekend.
