My Mississippi Naval Academy Brigade!
« on: 29 January 2012, 04:00:03 PM »
I wanted to add a bit of color to my Confederate Army of Oxford, so I invented the cadets of the Mississippi Naval Academy.  More info and pictures on my blog: http://whatcolorisbutternut.blogspot.com/2012/01/mississippi-naval-academy-brigade.html

Nice interesting use of those Empress minis. They work really well and you have done a lovely job with them.

They look great!

I will be doing something similar with Boot Hill New Orleans Greys.
I like the figures so much I will be using them as the infantry for my VSF Confederate States forces.

Good figures can always be used, even if they are used for something different to that intended, a good figure can always see use...
..or something like that. (You know what I mean!)  ::)

That is exactly what I thought when I saw these. I think the two would go well together as well.

I do like Boot Hill figures, but they are a bit large for my tastes. The Empress minis seem to fit better with the Perry's and Sash and Saber that make up most of the army.
