Micropanzer Amakudari Strider...
« on: 05 February 2012, 10:08:56 PM »
...vignette with Pig Iron System Trooper and a Fenris 120mm (oval) 'Ark' base. I need to do a little more work on the base and add some 'stuff' to the rear corner...and maybe another trooper.

Looks like a nice match for Infinity.  So nice to see more stuff that isn't just 40k clone crap!  Great paintjob too.

Dunno how you do it.
After all the masterpieces you've already shown us, you still manage to amaze us.

Fine painting, as usual.  Perhaps the object in the far corner should be a really big armchair for the strider to sit in?
Back from the dead, almost.

Very nice work yet again another excellent paintjob.
Is the texture on the turret designed there or left over from the rapid prototyping? As it only seems to go part way up, but that could just be the photos. Also can it stand up on it's own? As the centre of gravity looks to be behind the feet causing it to loom as if it easily falls over.

Thanks guys. Much of the texture comes from the RP process but under paint looks like 'cast' texture. I should have had the upper legs leaning a little more forward I think but it will just about stand on its own. Jason (micropanzer) contacted me after I reviewed the Strider on the blog to say he'd made building it simpler (less leg parts) and the casting had improved with later editions. He's kindly sending me another one so I'll let you know...

Man, that looks sharp next to 28mm.  I have Ja's stuff in a box still.  I need to get buzy.   I just grabbed a set of the Russian suits and the newer APCs.
