Using other board / minis games for Kriegspiel

Obviously, I'm on something of a kick here.  Don't worry, I should be back on my prozac by the end of the week.

Anyway, other than having three boards, with one for each set of players and one for the GM, what other considerations and changes do you make?

I was thinking of trying a kriegspiel of a simple sf skirmish this weekend, using the original 40K Rogue Trader rules.
