Hikz Pasha and the Battle of El Opie

Hikz Pasha's desert column contacted Bettan Ah Bey's Bilboic Haflingiah earlier today.

Here are a few shots of the action:

Rules used were a home made modification of Flintloque to allow for play with large numbers of figures . Units are companies so this is a level between Flintloque and Slaughterloo.

Hope you enjoy the story.

It would be interesting to see what mods you made to Flintloque...

Ranke and Vyle is Flintloque at company level too, not sure if Steve @ Wessex Games has any left, but last time I checked, Spirit Games had a copy...

    Hello Rob!

Indeed I do have "Ranke and Vyle" and give it a go on occasion. However I wanted something closer to Flintloque 3rd in terms of mechanics.

It's little more than a few sheets of charts at the moment but basically it:
    • Uses d10 rather than d100. This allows a volley to be rolled as a handful of dice rather than several individual d100 rolls.
    • Actions are by company rather than by individual with the exception being leaders above company level
    • As such there are formation rules but being a company level game the only formations needed are line, rally square, and unformed
    • There are moral rules that would be familiar to Slaughterloo players although they differ in specifics as befits the lower level of play
    • When a unit is activated you roll for how many actions it can carry out which range from 2 to 0 with 1 being the average result

    That's about it really IIRC.

    Bob
