EIR Standing Legionaries - Aventine - More packs added
« on: 22 March 2012, 02:09:39 PM »
We have just added two packs to the store of the standing legionaries. They have also been listed with the oval scutum as a variant. Adam has most of the command pack done and we expect to have them next week. There is also a unit deal for 16 of them. All figures are 28mm from sole of foot to eye level. They are in white metal and come with shields and pilum.

Wonderful!  :-*

Wish I had this quality of mini when I was doing Ancients, long ago!

Add in the super shield transfers that are available nowadays and one can easily put together one hell'va an army!

It hasn't been mentioned yet but I can see them getting a go in the future. There are so many other types to do yet, scale mail auxiliaries cavalry etc etc but we intend to stay with it until we are happy that all we want ciovered has been done.

So it isn't a yes but more a "I think so"...

I have spoken to Adam and we have decided that yes there will be 2 packs of armoured up legionaries, one with the Itallic H and the other with the Gallic I+Js. They will be about 6-8 weeks as we must press on with the Pyrrhic cavalry.

We will be adding the standing legionaries with the I+J helmets tomorrow and an officer/standard bearer pack next week.

Cheers

Keith

They can also be bought in a 16 figure deal, I just ran out of light to photograph them(I fogot really...lol)

PS We mount all our infantry on 20 x 20mm bases from Warbases, this is to show what they look like to rank up etc.

Simply the best 28mm legionaries for this period.

Keith, at the moment I've got some of your advancing EIR legionaries on my workbench (sticking, basing) and I love the all the details and fine sculpting work. Keep it going.
