28mm Trawler with figures
« on: August 18, 2012, 03:52:24 PM »
Found these on ebay and gave them a go I have done one working on the other.  First time working with a Vac-formed model, so some lessons learnt.

The figures are Gripping Beast (Gun Crew)  Empress and Brigade Mounties.  Compared with the Minime boat

Nice!  :)

Very nice.  Could you put a figure on the deck and take a new picture?

The only issues so far has been cutting the plastic  I used a sharp knife but it is only a lightweight craft knife a Stanley type may have been better.  Getting things level has also been an issue, trial and error worked in the end.
Painting has taken some time.  There is no or little detail in the model so painting took time.  Sprayed black enamel first then worked with acrylics.

Looks great. Fits in well with the Minimi boat.
