Crates

I'm in the process of sculpting some crates for 28mm (aka 25-32mm) with an eye toward crates for Pulp (already have sets for fantasy, treasure chests and so forth)...

I was thinking along the lines of the classic packing crate from Raiders of the Lost Ark (end scene)... so early 20thC.

Intended medium is pressure-cast resin, low cost, high detail, no bubbles.

does anybody have any preference as to style and size?

current sizes are:
Length, Width, height

25x25x32
27x18x19
20x15x18
26x16x14

I was thinking about a bigger one that is hollow i.e. detailed interior also with a separate lid piece - about 50x50x50 but dont know if thats too big?

any and all ideas considered!

I think those sizes sound good. For the interior one I would think something along the lines of 40x30x30. I say this because an oblong one would work well for putting a robot, coffin, or ancient sarcophogus into.

Or at least one that is big enough to take a body, so coffin length :)

Tea chests would be kind of cool - usually square crates, smooth sided with metal reinforcing around all the edges & corners.

A crate with the top off and the packing material filling it and spilling out would be cool too... for when the pulp heroes need to search the warehouse for the rare Ming vase or other ancient artifact! :)
