Interesting to see (on Children in Need) that the 2012 Dr Who Christmas Special is set in Victorian London. The brief clip featured a trio of assistants for Matt Smith, including a Sontaran and a sword-wielding female Silurian.
Shouldn't be too difficult to put them together as a new faction.....

Madame Vastra, the Silurian gentlewoman stranded in Victorian London, Jenny her faithful maidservant, and Strax the Sontaran nurse were introduced as allies of the Doctor last season, in the episode "A Good Man Goes To War".

A good few people pointed out at the time that they'd make a better spin-off series than Torchwood, not least because the two ladies also made the first reference to lesbian cunnilingus in the history of the series...

I think it ws very early one in the 70's where a tied up Sarah Jane Smith in a very precarious position, facing certain death, looked the Doctor in the eye and said, "Well, I'm licked."
