[blog] review of the 20mm Minairons plastic Panzer I A's
« on: 09 December 2012, 05:35:17 PM »
Hi, I just finished the review of the splendid 20mm Panzer I Ausf. A plastic boxed set of the new Spanish company called Minairons Miniatures and was really surprised about the the quality the new company managed to deliver at very reasonable prices.

Interested in these excellent models of a new company which is promising more exciting releases soon?

Take a look here for a quick review! http://wargameterrain.blogspot.be/2012/12/minairons-miniatures-20mm-panzer-i-ausf.html

I saw these on the sprue the other day and they looked just fine.  Detailing didn't look quite as sharp as PSC but they are vehicles after all, I guess.  The addition of decals in the box is a nice touch.  The packaging is clearly based on PSC.  I just worry about their target market and hope that they will actually sell enough to expand the range, especially into 28mm.

It's nice to see the Panzer 1A get some attention as oppose to the Panzer 1B.

Nice start to the range.

Cheers,

Helen

You're right the detail isn't as sharp as that of PSC but I like the way they have decided to produce some unusual vehicles instead of your average late war monsters such as tiger or panther or the american sherman (not quite a monster I know  ;))

I think the sets will do well as they are the first commercially sets available for wargamers as they are easy to assemble and reasonable priced compared with other model kits.

@Helen: As you say a nice start to the range but I'm already looking forward in seeing more vehicles especially the bilboa armoured car!

Cheers
