Ok as part of my 20mm range I am trying to reproduce this beachfront house from Juno beach, the front is done as you can see below apart from some detailing such as brickwork, I hope you like it and all comments are welcome...........even the bad ones :-)

I really like it. Looks very promising.

But are you sure that the two side windows should be in line with the front wall?
To me .. on the first picture at least, they look set back a little further.

yes your are right but because i want to make a mold of it when done i have to make it so that i can and get it out of the cast easily, so close but not exact is sometimes how i have to go.

what does not convince me is the way You made the two bay windows, it doesn't make sense with additional windows behind them.
the way I see it the bays are wooden constructions that cover large opnenings in the front wall. The bays should have thinner walls

and the roof tiles appear a bit too loose

Very nice! I think the bay windows will work fine. presumably you will be adding some sort of window or mullion that will mask the thickness of the walls? I also like the roof tiles. In small scale it instantly coveys the impression of a tiled roof and adds a lot of character. I think the coments on the upper dormers are more significant. I think if the dormers are not set back you will get a radical change to the roof line and a quite different look to the building. But...but...you only have to keep yourself happy! Regards, Rob.

valid points but what i need to do is make them strong enough to survive removing from the mold so they have to be thicker than what is ideal, that is sometimes my compromise on being able to achieve total realism, but what i do try to do is hide and cover any of this with detailing, and there within lies my challenge, but if i fail the final piece will still be better than what i had at the start, which was nothing of course.
as for the tiles, the pictures i have shows them as a mess and remember this house has been shelled and suffered from gunfire so i want the tiles to look pretty messed up.

thanks for the feedback though it keeps me honest and shows me areas that i need to concentrate on

................its something to consider for future pieces for sure, gonna see how this turns out and go from there, what i will probably do after is make some bays that i can generically fit on other buildings too.

Well the roof has took a lot longerthan I planned, but other projects and sales have to take their rightful place, but at last its so close to being finished I can order up the silicone for the mold.
I have some roof trim and damage detail to add, also the tiles have had to be slightly exagerated due to the need to thicken it up for casting strength, but overall I am very happy

OK all done at last..............well actually just got to move the chimneys but that's it finished, I will get this molded asap and list it for sale.
