Dipped heroquest minis
« on: 21 April 2013, 12:07:26 AM »
Blue's dipped thread has made me chuck up some images of my heroquest dipped stuff, I have no idea howi have so many of these but I just bought another heroquest board game for $50 (nz) which should arrive any day now.
The skeletons took no time at all being a bone primer on them followed by painting the shaft and blade of the scythe and then painting on some dip that had been heavily thinned. The mummies were easier with grey skin and bone primer for the bandages. Then dip.
The fimir were dipped as well. I still have to matte spray them all. There is also a converted chaos warrior in there and a sorcerer. I have plenty more to paint as well.

Thanks. I'll just give them a light dusting, and spray in low humidity.

Very nice!  I think doing an undead force with the dip is a no brainer and could be done in no time.  These look like a blast to game with!

Cheers,

Looks great! I have been playing a bit of Heroquest with the wife lately, my stuff is still unpainted though. Maybe I should give it a go :)

Honestly, the skeletons and mummies are soooooooooooo quick to paint up. Ridiculously easy. The heroquest board game I bought arrived today. I am realy glad I bought it (I have my set from when it was originally sold but that has seen better days) The person selling put in a minimal description of it but it has the quest books and extra tiles for kellars keep and the witch King (liche lord?) expansion which I'm super happy about. At home I have now kellars keep, Witch King, Ogres Horde and my brothers Wizards of Morcar set + lots of extra minis. It's looking rather complete except for the US expansions. The new set was in really good condition too. I think 1 sword snapped of a goblin, 2 scythes broken and both candle sticks broken. Amazingly the barbarian and elf both have weapons attached still! Super excited!!!
