An Airfix Angel
« on: May 07, 2013, 03:21:56 PM »
Don't think I have ever posted on this board before but seemed the logical place.  About 40 years after I first did one of these my wife got me one for Christmas and you cannot just leave presents in their box.  About an hour to build and paint (Christmas holiday) and then an hour and a half to decal (today),  all straight out the box and just brush painted.  The modern decals are far better than I remember them from before but the moulding is certainly showing its age.

Nice job and a great trip down memory lane...all they need to do now is re-tool it to a larger scale  ;)

Has anyone emailed them to see if that would be possible?

Spectrum Is Green, Captain Svennn.

(Got one of those somewhere, still in its box, that I got in the 70s(?) and still haven't got around to building. Dread to think what state those decals are in.)

Die-cut metal plastic moulds cost a fortune, so I would very much doubt it unfortunately.  Market wouldn't be there.

15mm minis would be the easier and more practical choice.
