I'm on a roll - never painted so much, so quickly in ages

Major Carpet-Burnes is an intrepid English career soldier and airman recently cashiered from the service for "going native" and having too much sympathy for those he was supposed to subvert.

Now a Soldier of Fortune, he has spent a considerable time playing the Great Game on the far flung edges of the Empire - sometimes legitimate, more often not, but always faithful to his own strict moral code.

He is accompanied by his long time friend, Captain Hugh Jarce - bold, brash and ready to box about the ears those who step in his path.

They are backed with a band of fanatically loyal Chinese ex-Militia armed with pistols and razor edged swords, nicknamed the Celestial Devils and ably led by Lieutenant Ying and Lieutenant Yang.

Ting, Tang and Tong each have their own talents but Tong in particular is wedded to the blade so much that he eschews the pistol his colleagues carry so he can concentrate exclusively on swordsmanship.

Copplestone minis - you gotta love 'em

now, if only my camera (ie: me) could take a decent picture  :'(

Very nice and good back stories.  :)

And I share your pain on the phototaking - it is so hit and miss for me too.  :-[

Great looking league.
Hugh Jarse... You've been watching re-runs of Benny Hill.  ;D
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Not that you sent me off on this Pulp Alley road this morning having seen your post  lol

Those look really awesome! I love how everyone is making such a wide array of leagues for Pulp Alley. :D

They look great and the names are wonderful as well. I've pondered that Major Burns miniature. I will eventually buy that pack I think.

thanks all

It's the sculpts that deserve the praise - Mark Copplestone is my favourite minis designer.  The man is a true artist.

I have always looked at the Back of Beyond and the other newer ranges lustfully but never had a use for them.

Pulp Alley has now opened the flood gates - I expect I will be buying many more.
