WOTR Command Stand

Morning All,

As I follow on from my previous email, I wish to construct a 60mm round command stand.
This will be based on 2-3 mounted figures from Front Rank. The figures chosen are the following; herald in tabard with trumpet, men at arms tabard, personality with helm off in tabard. The horses are half armour with rear in cloth barding.

My question is which parts would be painted in livery or coat of arms?
Montagu John Neville: tabard (I'm presuming COA), cloth barding
Herald: tabard, trumpet cloth, horse barding
MAA: tabard, flag (I'm presuming this is the COA), horse barding.

This isn't 100% by any means, but...

The man himself, if he wore a tabard, would have it in his coat of arms. He would typically be accompanied by his banner bearer (perhaps in a livery coat, or his own coat of arms in some cases), who bore a square or rectangular banner with the lord's coat of arms on it. A standard bearer would also usually be present, or with the main body of his men, bearing a standard with the livery and badges on it. Again the standard bearer might have his own coat of arms, or he would also wear livery. Standards came in different shapes and sizes, although long 'swallow-tailed' ones seem to be commonest for the lord's own one.

A herald is not the same as a musician. Generally only titled nobles had a herald, who wore the coat of arms of their lord and usually carried a baton. A musician on the other hand, would typically wear livery, with trumpeters usually having a miniature tabard hanging from the instrument, also in the livery, or the coat of arms if they were household men.
